The Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology (RCRM), located in Gomel, Belarus, is one of the country’s leading tertiary healthcare, research, and educational institutions. Established following the Chernobyl nuclear accident, the Center serves as the national reference institution for radiation medicine, human ecology, and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with radiation exposure. As a member of the World Health Organization’s Radiation Emergency Medical Preparedness and Assistance Network (REMPAN), the Center plays a significant role in radiation emergency preparedness, radiation protection research, epidemiology, molecular medicine, and long-term health monitoring of populations affected by radiation exposure.
